A little Jem-ness for my new followers. Photo by Vania Stoyanova, from the teaser book trailer for Clockwork Prince.
I had plans of going to med school. I even made it public by making a banner for my multiply site, with the catch phrase “will be MD”. I guess, just like other promises, I ended up breaking this one. Everyone says I should be taking up med, and they still do. I hear it over and over again—except from my family. I even had my NMAT forms signed up by the college dean, and only to end up in the trash bin. At that time, I figured, if I cannot even pay the 2,000 php entrance fee, how can I survive four years of med school? Yes, I could raise money, or work hard for a scholarship, but I cannot find the will to pursue it. Perhaps, it has only been ingrained by those who say I’m wasting my time in my profession, or working my butt off to earn a living. Before you say I have too many excuses, get a background check. You may not have my brain, but I do not have the financial support you’ve been having.
Don’t you love surprises? I guess I did something good, and got something better in return. Hence, the photo. Thanks! Mabait kang tunay

Moon leaf tea shop’s Wintermelon Milk Tea and Passion Fruit Yakult, @85p (around $2) each.
Their wintermelon milk tea is sweeter than other brand of milk teas (i.e. Chatime, Zen Tea), but I don’t mind. It’s creamy, sweet, and has just the right hint of tang. The pearls though aren’t that well cooked.
Passion Fruit Yakult on the other hand came as a surprise. It’s wonderfully refreshing, and the taste reminds me of a cool guyabano drink.
